Chilling in Khao Yai

Thailand might be synonymous with sun and beaches, however, it is also a great destination to visit during the winter months. In particular, fascinating Khao Yai is a great place to experience with the temperatures are a little cooler. As it is only three hours from Bangkok, it is an easy place to visit to get some peace and quiet away from the bustling capital. You could spend at least a week enjoying the many charms of the area, although even two or three nights will allow you to get a taste for its beauty.

Da Nang, on Vietnam’s central coast, is famed for its beautiful French architecture and even more beautiful sandy beaches. I’ve long wanted to visit, and on a recent trip to Bangkok the opportunity presented itself. Getting to Da Nang from Bangkok is easy thanks to the many daily flights between Thailand’s capital and Vietnam’s premier beach town. Although several airlines fly the route, my favourite is AirAsia – you can’t beat its affordable prices, and the service is good too.
